Kent Mental Wellbeing Awards – MHA Chartered Accountants support
MHA chartered accountants, tax and business advisers is the latest organisation to support the Kent Mental Wellbeing Awards.
The organisation’s wellbeing team selected the event as one of the causes to support this year.
The Kent Mental Wellbeing Awards is an annual event to showcase the people, organisations and initiatives that help us cope with life in the county.
The event’s three themes are: mental health; wellbeing; kindness and compassion. Whether it is in your school, business, community or family, so many of us have been lucky to have people and organisations with ideas, tips and tactics to help us cope – it is time to celebrate those mental health and wellbeing champions in our community and share this best practice.
The awards will be staged in October by the mental health charity Mind in Bexley and East Kent in collaboration with a range of organisations passionate about wellbeing and mental health.
Nominations can be linked to a simple act of kindness that lifted the spirits, a business that has improved staff wellbeing, through to a targeted initiative delivered by a charity or statutory organisation to support a mental health issue.
Hayley Benn from MHA said: “MHA is very enthusiastic to be part of the Kent Mental Wellbeing Awards because as a firm we are strong advocates for the cause and recognising the individuals out there who make a difference everyday is crucial.”
Simon Dolby from the awards team said: “We are absolutely delighted to have MHA join the judging panel and to have a senior representative of the firm joining us to present awards at our annual celebration of wellbeing best practice in the region.”
Joining MHA on the judging panel are Kent County Council, Kent Community Foundation, ADM Computing, National Grid, Medway Council, Cactus Graphics, Hempstead House Country Hotel and CommunityAd.
Nominations are accepted from the Kent, Medway, Bexley and Bromley areas and can be submitted until noon on 1 September by visiting www.kentmentalwellbeingawards.org.uk
