East Kent Mind delivers a range of training and wellbeing services to local businesses, organisations, charities and companies who are keen to invest more in the mental health training and wellbeing support which they are able to offer to their staff.

This offering has adaptability at the heart of it – with our goal being to provide support which works for organisations of any size, with any need. As well as the workshop sessions detailed below we can also create bespoke sessions to be delivered in your premises or online.

Mental Health Awareness Training

With one in four of us experiencing a mental health problem every year, our Mental Health Awareness training is designed to help broaden awareness about specific areas of mental health. Sessions usually last between 90min and two hours and topics include: Introduction to Mental Health Awareness; Understanding Depression; Understanding Stress and Anxiety; Mental Health Awareness.

Mental Health First Aid

This certificated two day course is suitable for those who want to gain the necessary skills to have a non-judgemental conversation, recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues and effectively guide a person towards the right support. Please be aware that this course focuses on employees in the workplace and covers subjects that some people may find distressing.

Suicide Prevention & Awareness

Our Suicide Prevention & Awareness Training is fully-funded for individuals living in Kent and Medway – providing access to three-and-a-half hour sessions which look at the challenges facing both adults and young people. These sessions aim to raise awareness, increase confidence when it comes to supporting others, and also aim to highlight the support services available in Kent and Medway.

Everyday Mental Health

This is a new, one-hour training session which focuses on stress, anxiety, self-care and the ways in which we can support others – providing a dedicated space and time where people can build their knowledge and also reflect on how the current climate may be having a detrimental impact on mental health.
