Students on target with fundraising support

A group of sports science students at Canterbury Christ Church University will be raising funds for East Kent Mind to help the charity’s front-line mental health services.

Finley and Bradley, both in their second year at university, are part of a team of students staging the fundraiser at the Spitfire Ground, Canterbury on the afternoon of Friday, 17 May.

While a women’s cricket match and then a men’s match run from 3pm into the evening a team of students will invite those watching the match to pay to throw wet sponges at volunteers as part of the target attraction. Proceeds will go to the registered charity Mind in Bexley and East Kent.

Food and drink stalls will be open at the Spitfire ground and tickets for the students matches are free but must be booked in advance using the link below.
