New July to September Wellbeing Activities Programme available now!
East Kent Mind has released our latest Activities Programme, featuring a wide range of groups, courses and workshops taking place from July to September 2026.
The summer programme includes many opportunities to get outdoors, connect with others and enjoy the benefits of being active in nature. Our popular Wellbeing Walks continue across East Kent, offering friendly and relaxed groups where people can walk and talk, walk and watch, or simply walk with others knowing they are not alone.
East Kent Mind’s Wellbeing Walks are available in Herne Bay, Margate and Ramsgate, giving people the chance to enjoy the local area, meet new people and spend time outside in a supportive environment. Walking can be a simple but powerful way to support mental health and wellbeing, combining gentle activity with social connection and time in nature.
The programme also includes Walking for Wellbeing in Whitstable, hosted by Revival Food & Mood on Sunday mornings. The group offers another opportunity to get outside, meet new friends and connect with the local community.
For those who enjoy gardening and green spaces, East Kent Mind continues to offer Gardening at Kent Community Oasis Garden in Canterbury. Based at the University of Kent, the group takes place on Wednesdays and Fridays and offers a welcoming space for people to enjoy gardening, grow their confidence and build friendships. It is open to everyone who would like to spend time in nature and be part of an inclusive community.
However, the Activities Programme is not only for people who want to be outdoors. East Kent Mind also offers a wide range of online activities, workshops and courses for people who may prefer to take part from home.
Online activities include Healthy Mind and Body, Meditation Practice, Pilates, Tai Chi, Yoga and Drum and Movement. These sessions offer different ways to support mental and physical wellbeing, from gentle movement and relaxation to practical ideas for living a more balanced lifestyle.
The programme also includes a wide selection of online workshops and courses designed to help people learn more about mental health and develop useful coping strategies. These include Anger Management, Body Image, Coping with Depression, Emotional Intelligence, Low Mood and Depression, Suicide Awareness, Understanding Anxiety and Panic, and Understanding Self-Harm.
There are also many groups focused on connection, creativity and peer support. These include Creative Art, Make, Mend and Motivate, Music for Fun, Cuppa Club, Chatty Wednesday, MenTalk Groups, Women’s Wellness Group and the Bereavement Group.
The Activities Programme is organised under the Ways to Wellbeing themes: Be Active, Keep Learning, Connect and Take Notice. These themes reflect simple actions that can support our mental wellbeing, whether through movement, learning, creativity, social connection or taking time to notice the world around us.
