Thanet Earth helps East Kent Mind to champion mental health
For over two years, Thanet Earth has been a committed supporter of East Kent Mind, helping the charity to make a real difference in the community.
Thanet Earth has provided a regular supply of healthy, high-quality produce. This has enabled East Kent Mind to create nutritious meals that are served through the social enterprise café and wellness hub Revival Food and Mood in Whitstable. Revival helps to ensure that people have access to affordable, freshly prepared food.
Amanda, from the Aspire team at Thanet Earth, explained: “We have helped East Kent Mind for two and a half years. We support them with fresh produce that they can then make into soups and pasta dishes for the shops that they serve in the community. Produce that we supply includes tomatoes all year round, cucumbers from November to March, and peppers most of the year round as well.”

The partnership between Thanet Earth, East Kent Mind and Revival Food & Mood is a clear example of how local businesses can play a vital role in supporting mental health charities. Their year-round donations of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers go straight into our salads and daily lunch specials, often forming the base of our Pay-It-Forward meals for people who need a hot, healthy plate but can’t always afford one. That steady supply helps us cut waste and keep prices accessible on Whitstable High Street, while the café continues to fund free, local mental health support.”
