Stonelees Golf Centre Open Day raised over 3k for East Kent Mind
We would like to offer our thanks to the staff and golfers at Stonelees Golf Centre near Ramsgate, after their Open Day raised over £3,060 for East Kent Mind.
The Open Day took place on Saturday 25th May and was to celebrate their 30th anniversary. They kindly made their celebration day in aid of East Kent Mind.
The Open Day was a huge success and had a range of events for all ages, including a hovercraft show, as well as hovercraft rides; a ‘therapy duck petting’ station; a golf simulator; and competitions on the driving range and putting green with help from WGTF Golf Professional James Cooper. The Kids Corner was a particular success and was enjoyed by more than 70 youngsters.
A DJ set was played throughout the day, pizza was available and they also hosted an auction, all which helped to raise the huge amount for East Kent Mind.
YouTubers Nick & Cam also visited to play the Heights Course against James Cooper in their Beat the Pro series – you can see how it turned out for them here: YouTube: Nick & Cam at Stonelees
Simon Dolby, the Development Lead for East Kent Mind, said: “Thanks to the team at Stonelees Golf Centre for their amazing support. We are delighted that they chose to support East Kent Mind and the money raised at the Open Day will go a long way to help people in the local area improve their mental health.”
Thanks again to all the staff, volunteers and golfers at Stonelees Golf Centre that made the Open Day such a memorable occasion.
