Mayor of Margate Cllr Jack Packman signs up for Mental Elf 2024
The Mayor of Margate Cllr Jack Packman is supporting East Kent Mind for its inaugural Mental Elf Fun Run, which takes place on
Sunday 24 November in Canterbury at 10am.
Mental Elf is a unique event that focuses on bringing people together, not only to fundraise but to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing locally. It promotes the benefits of physical activity, connecting with people and doing something to help others.
Everyone who completes the fun run will receive a medal and we also have elf hats for adults to wear.
The Mayor is using the Fun Run as a warm up for his big challenge next year, when he is running the London Marathon. Good luck Jack!
The route runs along the River Stour and takes in Todler’s Cove and the riverside area of Hambrook Marshes. It is a peaceful and attractive area and wonderfully flat with seating dotted along its route – this makes it perfect for less experienced runners.
All profits from ticket sales will go directly to East Kent Mind, enabling us to support more local people with their wellbeing.
