Mayors give support to Ambassador project

Civic leaders have been helping to promote East Kent Mind’s Wellbeing Ambassador initiative.

Mayor of Margate, Cllr Jack Packman, and Sheriff of Canterbury, Cllr Keji Moses, took time out of their hectic schedules this week to help promote East Kent Mind’s Wellbeing Ambassador initiative.

The pilot project enlists the public to be champions of the charity’s work and provides both a wellbeing training element and social action requirement for the volunteers.

Currently 30 Ambassadors have been recruited and trained and are developing a number of initiatives – some focusiong on supporting wellbeinjg and some linked to an awareness-raising fundraising event.
