New East Kent Mind Activities Programme launches for October to December

East Kent Mind has launched its new Activities Programme for October to December 2026, featuring a new face-to-face social group in Ramsgate alongside a number of new online wellbeing activities.

The latest programme includes a wide range of courses, groups and workshops designed to help people connect with others, learn new skills, become more active and take time to look after their wellbeing. Activities are organised around four of the Ways to Wellbeing: Be Active, Keep Learning, Connect and Take Notice.

New Games, Puzzles and Quizzes group in Ramsgate

One of the highlights of the new programme is Games, Puzzles and Quizzes, a new face-to-face social group at 34 King Street in Ramsgate.

Taking place on the third Wednesday of each month from 12.30pm to 1.45pm, the group offers a relaxed way to meet other people while enjoying quizzes, games and puzzles.

People can have a cuppa, chat, put their general knowledge to the test and simply enjoy spending time with others. There is no pressure to be a quiz expert – the emphasis is on having fun and connecting with people in a friendly environment.

Social connection can play an important part in supporting our mental wellbeing. Groups such as Games, Puzzles and Quizzes can provide an opportunity to get out of the house, meet new people and enjoy an activity together without the pressure of a more formal setting.

Three new ways to support your wellbeing online

The October to December programme also introduces three new online activities, giving people the opportunity to take part from home.

Blips, Slips and Dips is a friendly online space exploring the ups, downs and unexpected wobbles that life can bring. The sessions look at what can help when things do not go to plan, while encouraging people to recognise the small wins and find ways to get themselves back on track

Movement Is Medicine takes a different approach, using music and gentle movement to help people connect with themselves, lift their mood and have fun. Participants can dance, stretch, sway, tap or simply move their hands – there is no right or wrong way to take part and no need to be a dancer. Cameras are kept off, helping people feel comfortable moving in whatever way feels right for them. The group runs fortnightly on Mondays from 6.15pm to 7.15pm.

See It. Believe It. Become It! is a monthly group focused on helping people explore the life they would like to create. Through visualisation, intentions, affirmations and creative activities, participants can think about what they want, believe in what is possible and begin taking practical steps towards it.

The new Activities Programme contains many more opportunities to support mental health and wellbeing, from walking, gardening and creative activities to peer-support groups, wellbeing courses and online workshops.

By offering a mix of face-to-face and online activities, East Kent Mind aims to make it easier for people to find something that suits their interests, circumstances and wellbeing goals.

The programme provides opportunities not only for people experiencing difficulties with their mental health, but for anyone who wants to connect with others and take positive steps to look after their wellbeing.
