Wellbeing event raises more than £600 for East Kent Mind
Personal trainer Molly Gosling and the team at Snap Fitness Herne Bay have raised more than £600 for East Kent Mind after staging a special Mind and Body event at the gym.
The fundraiser brought together fitness and wellbeing, offering a varied programme of group exercise sessions, personal training and wellbeing talks. The event gave people the chance to focus on both their physical and mental health, while also supporting local mental health services in the community.
Molly chose East Kent Mind as the charity to benefit from the event after completing East Kent Mind’s Wellbeing Ambassador training.
The Wellbeing Ambassador initiative provides mental health training to help people support the wellbeing of those around them, as well as their own. It also offers volunteering opportunities, helping Ambassadors to make a positive difference in their workplaces, community groups and wider networks.
The success of the Mind and Body event highlights the growing importance of community-led fundraising and the role local businesses and individuals can play in supporting better mental health.

Simon Dolby, East Kent Mind’s Development Lead, said: “We would like to thank Molly Gosling and everyone at Snap Fitness Herne Bay for their support, energy and commitment to raising both awareness and funds for mental health.”
