Free community art session coming to Broadstairs
East Kent Mind is hosting a free community art session in Broadstairs to help local people support their mental health and wellbeing through creativity.
The one-off event will provide a friendly and welcoming environment where people can enjoy making art, meet others and take some time for themselves. No previous art experience is needed, and all materials and refreshments will be provided.
The session takes place on Tuesday 15 September, from 2pm to 4pm, at Look Out at Maurice House, Callis Court Road, Broadstairs CT10 3AH.
Spaces are limited, so advance registration is required.

Supporting wellbeing through creativity
Creative activities can provide an opportunity to express thoughts and feelings, learn new skills and connect with other people in a supportive setting.
Alongside this special Broadstairs event, East Kent Mind offers a regular Creative Art group in Ramsgate. The group provides a safe and welcoming creative community for people experiencing challenges such as loneliness, isolation, anxiety or depression. It takes place on Wednesdays from 2.30pm to 4.30pm at 34 King Street, Ramsgate. You can sign up via our East Kent Mind Registration Form
Explore our latest Activities Programme
The Creative Art group is one of many activities included in East Kent Mind’s July to September 2026 Activities Programme.
The programme features face-to-face and online groups, courses and workshops designed to help people connect with others, stay active, learn new skills and look after their wellbeing. Activities are available in Ramsgate, Canterbury, Herne Bay, Margate and Whitstable, as well as online.
Creativity-focused opportunities include Creative Writing, Make, Mend and Motivate, Music for Fun and Photography for Fun. The wider programme also includes wellbeing walks, gardening at Kent Community Oasis Garden, Pilates, yoga, meditation, peer-support groups and workshops covering subjects such as anxiety, low mood, self-harm, and sleep and relaxation.
