Young designer so proud to see work roll off press
The winner of the competition to design the trophy for the 2025 Kent Mental Wellbeing Awards watched his work roll off the production line this week.
David Domnesoru, 17, of Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, Faversham joined award judges from ADM Computing and Cactus Graphics to see his work transformed into the trophy that will be presented to champions at the event this October.

This year saw a great crop of entrants for the competition including three dimensional designs, all of which were inspiring and highly appropriate to use at the event. But in the end judges selected David’s ‘clean and crisp’ illustration. View the video below to hear David’s description and meaning of the design.
It is not too late to submit a nomination to the Kent Mental Wellbeing Awards and to stand a chance at receiving the stunning trophy, designed by David.
Nominations can be linked to a simple act of kindness that lifted the spirits, a business that has improved staff wellbeing, through to a targeted initiative delivered by a charity or statutory organisation to support a mental health issue.
The event is supported by SouthEastern, Kent County Council, Kent Community Foundation, Paramount Foundation, ADM Computing, National Grid GrainLNG, Medway Council, WillowBank Education, Cactus Graphics, Blé Global, Ashford International Hotel and CommunityAd.
Nominations are accepted from the Kent, Medway, Bexley and Bromley areas and can be submitted until noon on 1 September 2025.
