Jen Rutherford, Ladies Captain at the club and Peter Norfolk, Seniors Captain, (pictured above) have decided to team up to support the charity because mental health issues have touched the lives of their family and friends.

East Kent Mind’s work with young adults in the Canterbury district and on the campus of the University of Kent impressed the pair who are keen to see more support delivered to vulnerable 18-25-year-olds.

Simon Dolby from East Kent Mind said: “This is very exciting for our charity to have two Captains backing us for the year. Plans are still being developed but Jen and Peter already have a wide range of events and activities planned both to raise funds and to help as Ambassadors to encourage positive conversations around mental health. We can’t wait to work with them!”

Jan and Peter spent time with Simon to learn more about the work of East Kent Mind and how their fundraising could make the most impact. Check out the video interviews below.
