Ambassador Project Planning Session
East Kent Mind Wellbeing Ambassadors are invited to attend a session to help East Kent Mind start working on three important projects. You will have an opportunity to join one or more of the project teams.

We will meet in the University of Kent’s main library building – room DG01 – but you must complete the form below to book your place.
Our initial planning meeting will look at three ideas.
Class resources: Creating simple resources that can be used in school classes with a mental wellbeing theme – word searches, puzzles etc – modelled on the Mental Elf school resources used at a couple of schools in December in our pilot. These are currently focused on key stages 1-3 but we would also like to widen these so also of use to young adults. The aim is to have a second set of resources we can offer to schools outside of the festive period. Simon will share current resources for team to view at the meeting.
School presentation: We will discuss testing delivery of a 30min presentation on Everyday Mental Health to a target school maybe with different Ambassadors delivering it to different Year Groups. Simon will have draft slides of the presentation for the project team to view.
Physical activity: Join project team to plan a Sunrise 5km Fun Run in Whitstable along the route of the weekly ParkRun to give us a high profile (and fundraising) fun run in mid May. Route planning and confirmation; stewarding locations; marketing messaging to include emotional element – run in memory of someone lost – as well as fun themes such as #WearItBright.
