Stunning trophy is a fitting creation to present to county champions
The winner of the competition to design the trophy for the 2026 Kent Mental Wellbeing Awards watched his work roll off the production line this week.
Student Henry Ross, 17, of Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, Faversham, won top spot in the annual design competition and saw his idea turned into a physical trophy at Cactus Graphics in Dover. The company used sustainable bamboo to create the trophies, giving winners of the annual event both a unique and sustainable reminder of their achievement.
This year saw a great crop of entrants for the competition including three dimensional designs, all of which were inspiring and highly appropriate to use at the event. But in the end judges selected Henry’s design. View the video below to hear Henry’s description and meaning of the design.
It is not too late to submit a nomination to the Kent Mental Wellbeing Awards and to stand a chance at receiving the stunning trophy, designed by Henry.
Nominations can be linked to a simple act of kindness that lifted the spirits, a business that has improved staff wellbeing, through to a targeted initiative delivered by a charity or statutory organisation to support a mental health issue.
The event is supported by Thanet Earth, Tassells Solicitors, Optyma Security, Kent County Council, ADM Computing, GrainLNG, Medway Council, Cactus Graphics, Ashford International Hotel and CommunityAd.
Nominations are accepted from the Kent, Medway, Bexley and Bromley areas and can be submitted until noon on 1 September 2025.
