Mentoring & Volunteering
Lots of people tell us that our new Mentoring Service helps them cope with their mental health problems in a more positive way. This is because it can help you to open up about what you are feeling and experiencing. Working in this way can reassure you that you’re not alone in how you are feeling and that you can move forward in connecting with others giving you a sense of belonging.
When you sign up for our goal-orientated Mentoring Service you will be matched with a Mentor that can encourage you to value your strengths, build your self-esteem and confidence and help you to feel more hopeful about the future. It can introduce you to ideas and approaches that others have found helpful and that you may not have thought about before.
Using the Recovery Star model, along with weekly discussion, you will be able to see clear evidence of your progress, helping you to improve motivation, enhance your skills and gain empowerment and choice.
